Fides Dualis Demo

Will you follow the Holy, embrace the Fanatic, or draw power from both?

Fides Dualis is a dark fantasy action roguelite where the prayers you choose shape your abilities, your combat style, and your faith.

Fight your way through enemy encounters using melee attacks, magic, and dodges. Try different combinations of prayers and grow stronger between runs through permanent upgrades.

The free demo is available for Windows and macOS. 

The game is available in 13 languages and offers full controller support, so you can play with a controller from the menus to combat.

Choose Your Path

You are believed to be the Chosen One, foretold by an ancient prophecy to unite two opposing faiths.

The Holy believe in order, sacrifice, and protection. The Fanatic embrace blood, desire, and absolute devotion.

During each run, prayers grant you new powers and bring you closer to either faith. You can focus on one side or combine both, experimenting with abilities that complement the way you like to fight.

The faith you earn also unlocks permanent skills, giving you more options for future runs.

What’s in the Demo?

The demo lets you experience the beginning of Fides Dualis and discover its core combat and progression systems.

Explore the first biome, fight its enemies, and experiment with Holy and Fanatic prayers. Between runs, return to the hub and use your accumulated faith to develop your character.

The demo ends when you unlock the Council. An end-of-demo screen will let you know when you have reached the end of the preview.

The Full Adventure

In the full game, your journey continues with the Council, whose members are divided between Holy and Fanatic beliefs.

Through their quests, you will earn their trust, learn more about the prophecy, and collect the 10 sacred keys needed to open the sealed door at the heart of the hub. Each member has their own beliefs, doubts, and connection to the world around you.

Beyond the demo, the adventure includes more areas and bosses, Council questlines, rune forging, and Judgement challenges with greater difficulty and rewards.

The door has remained sealed for a reason. Discovering why is part of your journey.

How to Play

Download the version for your operating system and extract the ZIP file completely.

Windows: open FidesDualis Demo.exe inside the extracted folder.

macOS: open UploadMacDemo.app inside the extracted folder.

Keep all accompanying files and folders together.

I’m developing Fides Dualis on my own, and this demo is a chance to share what I’ve been working on and hear what you think.

The game is still in development, so you may come across bugs, balance issues, or things that need more work.
